How will you define flexibility? Some say I have flexible office hours. When the pm is not sure when is staff is coming or going or having lunch, how do you ensure that enough work hours are put in so that you feel happy that I am providing compensation for the right effort.
You cannot wait and watch at the whims of the staff. You have to act and proceed with project.
The staff should not feel that they are too much monitored for their time in and out.

pep talk -today management
We have been postponing the completion of this project since long. It was supposed to over long back, even you guys need to move to other projects and learn newer things.
So we need to do this and this and this. Can we do it today? This question has been asked daily. They say Yes and nod their head. Both you and they know that tomorrow never dies.
You try to spoil their weekend and they give a meak warning that if you dont do it today ie., on Friday night at 7 PM then you will have to come tomorrow.

mentain SSL mySQL
The developer gave user option as "Mentain aspect ratio" and he was suggested that Mentain is actually Maintain.
The response
Sometimes Maintain is Mentain and sometimes its Mentain.
One more - Developer recommended that ssl is actually SSL and MYSQL is mySQL. His response
In PHP SSL is ssl and mySQL is MYSQL. He was suggested to refer to google but his confidence was paramount and he said I can show you in google and he was at loss when google could not agree with his assumption.

never trust blindly
When a release is to be made to customer, ensure that you have seen what is going across.
Ensure that QA had had a look at what is promised by developer.
Otherwise customer will get a error dump with long SQL statements and his feedback will be a bible that you will spend rest of your time analysing what went wrong.
A disaster of a delivery in the earnest of making by blindly trusting the developer is something that you should learn early in your birth else you are doomed and will need to search a vacant spot inside redwood tree.

Project vs Organization
Youth has tendency to do quality work and has general perception about that is. They believe anything done for customer is good work and anything that surrounds it is not priority work.
It's like, as long as my house is clean I don't care about the garbage that's collecting in the neighbourhood of my house.
Its like, as long I write code its heaven but if thats not a quality code or if customer does not accepts it its not my problem.
How to educate about ownership, towards self, towards organization that gives you salary, towards customers who give money to pay for salaries?
The above seems like simple maths. There are A B C and they are interlinked and they create a mutually sustainable eco-system. You have certain talents and skills for which you are paid.
I am not here to revolutionize but this is a challenge that you will obtain early in your company. Unless you have super-duper heroes who can carry hills on their shoulders but beyond them you will be clueless.
